About Us
Mission:
The Texas Air Museum is a dedicated group of volunteers devoted to restoring, preserving, and sharing the history of military aviation. From retelling the stories of past military aviators to flying and maintaining the museum’s airworthy exhibits, our members each provide a valuable service to educating future generations about the adventures and sacrifices of the pioneers who helped bring aviation to where it is today.
Our Members and Volunteers:
The Texas Air Museum is entirely volunteer owned and operated. We depend upon our volunteers to run, maintain, and grow our museum. Museum volunteers do everything from keeping displays clean, to restoring aircraft to airworthiness, to building new exhibits to further our mission of preserving the history of military aviation. We have a one-time $250 membership fee, but anyone can come out and volunteer free of any cost – we appreciate any help we get! Members who have paid the fee, however, can begin to sponsor aircraft and become museum pilots. We rely on this fee, aircraft sponsorships, and donations to keep our warbirds in the air. If you have any membership questions or just want to volunteer your equally valuable time, please see our volunteering page.
