Museum Artifacts and Exhibits
The Texas Air Museum has many exciting artifacts and exhibits for you to see! In addition to our static airplane display yard and hangars of flying aircraft, the museum is comprised of two artifact buildings that will walk you through the history of military aviation, starting at WWI and ending at the modern age and spaceflight. We have aviation artifacts from all sides from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf Wars. Our collection includes an original WWI biplane, genuine WWII and Vietnam War pilot suits, ground trainers, pieces of the USS Cabot aircraft carrier, a German Flak cannon, a Gemini training capsule used by astronaut Gus Grissom, and so much more. One of our members is also a proficient modeler, and many highly-detailed aircraft models and dioramas are on display as well. There is no shortage of things to see and learn about, and our volunteers are happy to guide you through our artifacts! We are currently working on developing the exhibit part of our website and working on modernizing our display buildings, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as that work is conducted. We hope you come out to see and learn about all of the military aviation history we have available!
