Fairchild PT-26 "Cornell"
The PT-26 operated by the museum, nicknamed “Lindy”, was a primary training aircraft for the Royal Canadian Air Force that served late in WWII. Many pilots got their start with this aircraft. The plane makes frequent appearances at nearby airshows, where it can often be seen with similar PT-19, PT-23, and PT-26 aircraft operated by other nearby museums. Although one of the museum’s most commonly flown aircraft, “Lindy” will have to be out of service for a year as the canvas on the frame is redone and repainted after many good years of use. We will keep updates posted on our blog.
More information on this aircraft is in progress – thank you for your patience as we develop our site!
