Restoration Projects
As part of the museum’s mission to preserve the history of military aviation, we are always working on restoring and maintaining aircraft to both static display and flight conditions. We are always expanding the stories we can tell and share, and our exhibits are a key part of accomplishing that. When visiting, some aircraft in our plane yard and hangar may be undergoing necessary preservation work. Since we are volunteer-ran and new exhibits are coming all the time, there is almost always a project or few underway. We appreciate your understanding and patience on the condition of some displays as we continue to work on improving and restoring items in our collection.
If you are interested in helping with our vital preservation work, please see our volunteer page or donate on our home page! We are always in need of extra hands around the museum, and appreciate all help and funds we receive. If you are interested in updates on our preservation work, please check in with our blog!
